start Pleasington Priory, down to Hoghton Bottoms, under railway viaduct, follow the river until footpath forks right up a gravel road, quite steep, comes out on the main Road. cross the road to the left, cut across by a stone cottage, follow path onto the canal. turn left. the walk is mostly flat very pleasant though.

Through Witton Park aying fields, up Tower Rd. along Leeds Liverpool canal. onto Livesey Branch Rd, left at the bottom, Right into Pleasington Ln, and back to Priory
