Languid Longshaw Loop Introduction

An easy looking walk but be prepared with boots and possibly a flask. Hunt out the old millstone on this route it has lain there for about 💯 years. The paths all around the estate are well marked. From the car park head down to the cafe. Turn right follow the single track road to the estate entrance. Cross the road ( see the photo with the sign) follow the path through beach woodland. Follow the stream down the hillside crossing at the bridge- see photo. Enter Padley Gorge an ancient oak woodland gorge of exceptional beauty. Follow the path to the road cross over and follow the footpath signs. Have a cuppa at the cafe or go back to the car park.
