Hong Kong Heritage Museum is a museum of history, art and culture in Sha Tin, Hong Kong, located beside the Shing Mun River. The museum opened on 16 December 2000. It is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Government. The six permanent exhibits and the original temporary exhibits were designed by design firm Reich+Petch along with Lord Cultural Resources.

Sha Tin Park, formerly known as Sha Tin Central Park, is a park at 2 Yuen Wo Road, Sha Tin, Hong Kong. It is situated along the Shing Mun River in the new town of Sha Tin, next to the New Town Plaza, Sha Tin Town Hall, and Sha Tin Public Library.The park occupies 8.05 hectares (19.89 acres) of land, and is managed by Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

The Royal Park Hotel (Chinese: 帝都酒店), established in 1989, is one of the largest hotels in Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong within walking distance of Sha Tin station.Owned by Sun Hung Kai Properties, the hotel belongs to Phase 2 development of New Town Plaza, the largest shopping mall in the district.

Che Kung Miu (traditional Chinese: 車公廟; simplified Chinese: 车公庙; pinyin: Chēgōng Miào; Jyutping: ce1 gung1 miu6), also called Che Kung Temple, are temples dedicated to Che Kung, who was a general during the Southern Song Dynasty (1127–1279) in ancient China. He is believed by some worshipers to have been involved in the attempt to keep the Song state alive by bringing Prince Ping and his brother to the South.

Tai Wai station is an interchange station on the East Rail line and the Tuen Ma line of the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) system in Hong Kong. The station is located in Tai Wai, Sha Tin District.

Baptist Lui Ming Choi Secondary School (BLMCSS) (simplified Chinese: 浸信会吕明才中学; traditional Chinese: 浸信會呂明才中學) is a secondary school in Sha Tin, Hong Kong, near Lek Yuen Estate. It was established in 1978 by the Hong Kong Baptist Convention. Situated in the new town of Sha Tin, the school is a co-educational grammar school offering education at the first to sixth form levels education in Hong Kong.

Tai Mei Tuk (officially known as 大美督 in Chinese; formerly and still commonly known as 大尾篤; also written as 大尾督 or 大美篤) is a place close to the Plover Cove Reservoir in the Tai Po District, New Territories, Hong Kong.

Sha Tin Government Secondary School (沙田官立中學) is located in Sha Tin, Hong Kong. It was founded in September 1972 and has now become a full-fledged co-educational grammar school. There are 24 classes with an enrollment of approximately 960 students in the year 2017–18. The current principal is Ms. Lam Yuet-wah Janice (林月華).

Sha Tin Sports Ground is a multi-use stadium at 18 Yuen Wo Road, Shatin, Hong Kong. It is adjacent to the Shing Mun River. It is currently used mostly for football matches by Shatin Sports Association. The stadium holds 5,000.
