Take the Southport Ferry as a pedestrian (cost $1.00). Hike from Ft. Fisher Ferry Terminal to the Ft. Fisher Recreational Area. Hike the beach to Bald Head and across Bald Head to the Ferry Terminal. $11.50 one way back to Southport and walk back to your vehicle at the Ferry Terminal. This route is best during low tides. Your mileage may increase if the aquarium gates aren’t open. Have fun.
