Hutton Henry

Hutton Henry is a village in County Durham, in England. The population of the parish at the 2011 census was 1,565. It is situated to the west of Hartlepool, near the villages of Wingate and Station Town.In ca. 1050 the village was known as Hoton. Henry de Essh held it in the 14th century, providing the second part of the name.

Hurworth Burn railway station was a railway station on the Castle Eden branch of the North Eastern Railway (NER) from 1880 to 1931. It was located between the embankment carrying the railway over Hurworth Burn Reservoir (to the north) and the bridge carrying the line over the Hart to Trimdon road (known as Hurworth Burn Road) (to the south).

Pike Whin Bog is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in the Easington district of east County Durham, England. It is situated just east of Hurworth Burn Reservoir, about 8 km west of Hartlepool.The bog lies in a natural depression, in which the water table is at or above ground level for most of the year, and is one of the few remaining wetlands in lowland Durham.
