Minneapolis–Saint Paul is a metropolitan area in the Upper Midwestern United States centered around the confluence of the Mississippi, Minnesota and St. Croix rivers in the U.S. state of Minnesota. Wright named the house "Gardenwall".Malcolm Willey was an administrator at the University of Minnesota. In June 1932, his wife Nancy Willey sent a letter to Wright asking if he would be able to provide them a "creation of art" for a budget of "about $8,000".

KMNV (1400 kHz "La Raza") is a commercial AM radio station licensed to St. Paul, Minnesota, and serving the Twin Cities radio market. The Lake Street–Marshall Avenue Bridge is a reinforced concrete arch bridge that spans the Mississippi River between Minneapolis, Minnesota and St. Paul, Minnesota. It is oriented east-west and connects Lake Street in Minneapolis to Marshall Avenue in St. Paul. St. Paul residents often refer to it as the Marshall Avenue Bridge.

Town & Country Club is a golf club located in St. Paul, Minnesota which was founded in 1888. Designed by George McCree and E. J. Frost, and later redesigned by Robert Foulis. Foulis, an early professional at Town & Country Club who was recommended to the membership by C.B. MacDonald.
