Gyeongbokgung (Korean: 경복궁; Hanja: 景福宮), also known as Gyeongbokgung Palace or Gyeongbok Palace, was the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty. Built in 1395, it is located in northern Seoul, South Korea. The largest of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon dynasty, Gyeongbokgung served as the home of Kings of the Joseon dynasty, the Kings' households, as well as the government of Joseon.

Gwanghwamun (Korean: 광화문; Hanja: 光化門) is the main and largest gate of Gyeongbok Palace, in Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is located at a three-way intersection at the northern end of Sejongno. As a landmark and symbol of Seoul's long history as the capital city during the Joseon Dynasty, the gate has gone through multiple periods of destruction and disrepair.

Anti-appeasement steles were 19th century monuments built in Korea to ostracize Westerners. They were erected by Heungseon Daewongun at more than 200 major transportation hubs across the country, including the four streets of Jongno. They were built in 1871 (the 8th year of the reign of Emperor Gojong of the Joseon dynasty).

The National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea (Korean: 국립현대미술관; Hanja: 國立現代美術館; RR: Gungnipyeondaemisulgwan) (MMCA) is a contemporary art museum with four branches in Gwacheon, Deoksugung, Seoul and Cheongju. The museum was first established in 1969 as the only national art museum in the country accommodating modern and contemporary art of Korea and international art of different time periods.

The station is also near the Government Complex–Seoul, the National Police Agency of South Korea, and other administrative buildings in the neighborhood.

The World Jewellery Museum is a museum in Seoul, South Korea.It contains ancient jewelry from Colombia, tribal ivory ornaments from Sudan, a collection of cross ornaments in Ethiopia, ornaments from the Miao people. There are also exhibits of ornaments from Morocco, Cambodia, Mongolia, Eritrea, India and Belgium.

The Japanese General Government Building (Korean: 조선총독부 청사, Joseon-chongdokbu Cheongsa), also known as the Government-General Building and the Seoul Capitol, was a building located in Jongno District of Seoul, South Korea, from 1926 to 1996.The Government-General Building was constructed by the Empire of Japan on the site of the Gyeongbokgung complex, the royal palace of the Joseon, and was the largest government building in East Asia.
