Atapuerca (Spanish pronunciation: [ataˈpweɾka]) is a municipality and town located in the province of Burgos, Castile and León, Spain. It encompasses the Archaeological Site of Atapuerca and is famous for its prehistoric archaeological sites. The municipality of Atapuerca is made up of two villages: Atapuerca (seat or capital) and Olmos de Atapuerca.

Built in the Gothic style in the 14th century, it contains the remains of San Lesmes, the patron of the city. The church underwent restoration in 2012-13.
