Berceni is a district (cartier in Romanian) of southern Bucharest.Berceni is also locally known as the place through where the wind comes in Bucharest.

Grand Arena is located south of Bucharest in Berceni district, at the crossroad between Turnu Măgurele Street, Metalurgiei Boulevard and Gilăului Road, in the proximity of a large do-it-yourself store and cash and carry. It is anchored by Carrefour Hypermarket and it is served by an underground parking lot with approximately 2,000 car places.

Piaţa Sudului (Southern Square) is a metro station in located in Berceni, Bucharest. Located near the station, above ground is the 'Big Berceni' market, highway to Oltenița (Şoseaua Olteniţei) and many other transport options including tram, trolleybus and bus connections, run by the RATB. The station is directly linked with the Shopping Mall Sun Plaza through underground.

Olteniței is a quarter in Bucharest's Sector 4, in the southern part of the city. A subdivision of Berceni, it gained its current form in the 1980s, when apartment buildings were constructed over old houses that were demolished. Most of these buildings are known as "Type 772", a modular prefabricated panel design that was very popular in the 1980s in Romania (its origins lie in an building design from 1976).
