Quebra Canela is a subdivision of the city of Praia in the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. Its population was 19 at the 2010 census. It is situated southwest of the city centre. Adjacent neighbourhoods are Palmarejo to the west, Achada Santo António to the north and Prainha to the east. It has a popular beach.

Estádio da Várzea is a multi-purpose stadium in Praia, Cape Verde just west of the city center's plateau in the subdivision of Várzea and on Avenida Cidade de Lisboa on its east side. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 8,000 people. The stadium is owned by the city of Praia and is operated by the Santiago South Regional Football Association and serves its headquarters of the association.

Chã de Areia is a subdivision of the city of Praia in the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. Its population was 247 at the 2010 census. It is situated south and west of the city centre. Adjacent neighbourhoods include Plateau to the northeast, Achadinha to the north, Várzea to the west, Achada Santo António to the southwest and Prainha to the south.

Avenida Cidade de Lisboa is an avenue west of the center of Praia, Santiago island, Cape Verde. It runs along the neighbourhoods of Várzea, Achadinha and Chã de Areia. It is one of the major arterial roads of the city. The street is named for Praia's town twinning with the city of Lisbon, Portugal. It runs south to north, west of the Plateau (city centre).

The Arquivo Nacional de Cabo Verde (acronym: ANCV) is the national archive of Cape Verde. It is located in the capital city of Praia, on Avenida Combatentes da Liberdade da Patria, in the subdivision of Chã de Areia. It is housed in the former customs building, that was built in 1878.The Arquivo Histórico Nacional was created on December 31, 1988 under the decree number 128/88, with the purpose of preserving, organizing and disseminating the national archival heritage.

Fazenda is a subdivision of the city of Praia in the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. Its population was 1,848 at the 2010 census. It is situated directly north of the city centre (Platô). Bordering neighbourhoods include Lem Cachorro to the northeast, Paiol to the east, Platô to the south and Achadinha to the west.

Avenida Andrade Corvo (formerly Rua do Corvo) is an avenue in the Plateau of Praia, in the city centre of Praia, Santiago island, Cape Verde. It was named in honour of 19th century Portuguese politician João de Andrade Corvo. It runs south to north in the eastern part of the Plateau, parallel to Rua Serpa Pinto.

Prainha is a subdivision of the city of Praia in the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. Its population was 309 at the 2010 census. It is situated on the coast, south of the city centre. Adjacent neighbourhoods are Achada Santo António to the north and Quebra Canela to the west. Several foreign embassies are located in Prainha.

The National Auditorium (Portuguese: Auditório Nacional) is a public building on Av. Cidade de Lisboa in Praia, capital of Cape Verde, completed in 2015. It was constructed with state investment by China. It is on the west side of the National Library of Cape Verde.

The Monumento de Diogo Gomes is a statue at the south end of the Plateau, the historic centre of Praia, on the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. It represents Diogo Gomes, the Portuguese navigator who was one of the "discoverers" of the island of Santiago in 1460. The cast iron statue was created by the Portuguese sculptor Joaquim Correia in 1956.
