The 1.25 mile Hiking trail at Yahoola Park is by far the quietest section of the park. Most of the time you will have the trail completely to yourself. The trail consists of well-maintained gravel/dirt walking paths. You can expect to be completely surrounded by the forest as you wind your way up over and then down the hills. The overall route is moderate by North Georgia standards. To walk this route start by parking in the gravel parking close to the Historic McDonald House. The trail head is next to the house. Follow the trail on level terrain for the first half a mile. During this time you will see both the creek and the old abandoned truck. At this point you are then follow the trail up the hill through the forest for the next half a mile or so. At every trail intersection go right (or use waypoints). The trail will go up and down until you reach the steep down hill section that brings you back to the trail head.
