Leazes Park is the 2nd oldest Park in Newcastle and is located along Richardson Road, Newcastle upon Tyne. It was opened in 1873. The grand Jubilee gates were added in 1896 to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. Paths are lined with trees along paved and unpaved ground. Slight elevation at certain area. There is a beautiful lake located nearer to Richardson Road side. Lovely park which is easy to navigate. Benches all around the park and a cafe situated by the lake, giving visitors a stunning view and a perfect setting to relax.
