Tresco Coastal Run

One of the most beautiful runs on one of the most beautiful islands... Rocky trails, bracken covered paths to start combined with breathtaking coastal views. Historic fortifications and white sand beaches. It really has everything. The start of the run at the Northern end of the island is tricky and more like fell running. Covered paths and large rocks set a challenging terrain. As you head down the Western side of the island you pass two fortification and then down into New Grimsby Bay. Heading to the Southern end of the island, the sand trails take you past wild Agapanthus and the stunning lake next to The Abbey. Heading back round to the Eastern side of the isle and North towards Old Grimsby, the run turns to rolling paths through the trees along the coastal path, back to the old historic Block House and down into the Ruin Cafe (where the picture attached was taken from) to finish the run. Probably my favourite run ever. A truly magical place.
