Ginger, full of wiggles, got her harness on while Sommers got Cinnamon’s harness on. Out the door, Ginger immediately got busy sniffing all around the bushes. She peed on the grass. Cinnamon spent her time looking back for the front door. She randomly checked in with Ginger on the scent exploration activity, but quickly returned to looking back to be sure she could find her way home. At one point, a man with a stroller, two dogs on leash, a boy on skateboard, and two boys on bikes all came barreling along the street on the other side from us. Cinnamon was frightened; Ginger merely interested. For Cinnamon, we stood still and watched them pass. I let Cinnamon stay behind me for safety. Later I asked her to stop pulling. With a slight tug back and a verbal “uh!” she immediately slowed to a walk along with Ginger and me. She immediately learned to slow to a heel each time I said “uh!” Very fast learner. She looked at me each time. I can't tell if she is looking for approval or out of fear of punishment. Each time she looks at me I tell her she is a “goog girl Cinnamon”. But she still won't let me get close enough to touch her. Ginger, on the other hand, loves petting, any attention, and thoroughly enjoyed her outing. I heard Cinnamon getting some water while Ginger got her treat.
