Moresby Hall is a former manor house and hotel in Parton, Cumbria, overlooking the Cumbrian Fells, and just to the north of the village of Moresby.The hall is located south of Lowca, off the A595 on the A66-595, 2 miles north of Whitehaven and 12 miles south-west of Cockermouth. Dating back to the 12th century, it is a Grade I listed building and has been cited by English Heritage as being one of the most important buildings in Cumbria.

Moresby is a small village and civil parish in the Borough of Copeland in Cumbria, England. It had a population of 1,280 at the 2001 census, increasing to 1,997 at the 2011 Census. Moresby sits on Cumbria's west coast. Moresby Hall is one of only three Grade I listed buildings in Copeland. The name of the hall and the village is thought to come from a family who settled in the area.

Moresby Junction Halt railway station was opened by the Cleator and Workington Junction Railway (C&WJR) in 1910. Very few people lived near the halt, which served nearby Walkmill Colliery and coke ovens in Cumbria, England.The halt consisted of one single wooden platform by the southbound track a short distance south of the junction itself.
