We parked near the Island Grind coffee and tea shop at Hilchey Road. Cross the road over to trails in this forest next to Dogwood Road on the southern edge of Campbell River. Well-made trails wind through a mixture of evergreen and deciduous trees. The beaver dam showed evidence of fresh construction.
