The International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT Bangalore or simply IIITB) is a Deemed to be University in the de-novo category recognized under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act. The university was established in 1999 jointly by the Government of Karnataka and the IT Industry.
