Starting from Onondaga Lake’s southernmost end at Destiny USA mall, to the Inner Harbor, to Franklin Square, to Armory Square, ending at one of Syracuse’s most notorious restaurants Dinosaur Barbecue, the Creekwalk highlights some of the best Syracuse. Easy walk. Good variety of nature and urban environments.

Parked under the Hiawatha overpass at Destiny USA mall where there is a small parking area right next to the path. Started at “Zone C” (A&B were fenced off) and headed toward downtown.
Following the yellow line on the path, it stops once you get to Hiawatha Blvd. Take a left, go up over the bridge and another left puts you back on the trail. Markings are poorly labeled, but at this point, now it’s a straight shot to the Inner Harbour.

Entering Franklin Square. Beautiful area. Ducks frolicking in the water. Nice mix of nature, bridges, meandering trails, light posts, office bldgs and apartments. Contemporary feel to a renovated industrial area.
