Laacher See

Maria Laach Abbey (in German: Abtei Maria Laach, in Latin: Abbatia Maria Lacensis or Abbatia Maria ad Lacum) is a Benedictine abbey situated on the southwestern shore of the Laacher See (Lake Laach), near Andernach, in the Eifel region of the Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany. It is a member of the Beuronese Congregation within the Benedictine Confederation.

Laach Castle (German: Burg Laach), also called the Pfalzgrafen Castle (Pfalzgrafenburg or 'Count Palatine's Castle'), is a levelled Salian spur castle by the Laacher See (Lake Laach) opposite the Abbey of Maria Laach. The castle site lies on the territory of Kruft in the county of Mayen-Koblenz in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

The Veitskopf is hill, 428 m above sea level (NHN), in the Eifel mountains of Germany. It is located in the county of Ahrweiler in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It rises north of the lake of Laacher See in the area of the village of Wassenach.Der Veitskopf is the cinder cone of a volcano that erupted during the Quaternary period.
