Aliaksandraŭski Garden Square is a square located in the center of Minsk, Belarus. Janka Kupala National Theatre is situated on the square, while Kupalaŭskaja and Kastryčnickaja metro stations' entrances overlook the square. Surrounded by Independence Avenue, Karl Marx Street, Red Army Soldiers Street, and Engels Street, the square overlooks October Square, the Residence of the President of Belarus and the Central House of Officers.

The Nyamiha stampede took place at Nyamiha metro station in Minsk, Belarus. On May 30, 1999, a sudden thunderstorm caused a number of young people to race for shelter during an open-air concert nearby. The stampede was funneled toward the underpass of the metro station and many people were killed in the crush when they started slipping on the wet pavement, falling, and trampling each other.

Janka Kupała Park is a park in Minsk, Belarus located along Śvisłač river. This park is named after Janka Kupała, one of the classics of Belarusian literature of early 20th century.Before World War II at this place there was the house of poet Janka Kupała. In 1959 the Janka Kupała's museum near the park was constructed that has at its disposal a big collection of autographs, photos, documents and poet's personal belongings.

The 2011 Minsk Metro bombing occurred on 11 April 2011 when at least 15 people were killed and more than two hundred were injured in an explosion on the Minsk Metro, Belarus. The explosion happened at the central Kastryčnickaja station at 17:55 local time.Initially the cause of the explosion was unclear, but was found to have been a bomb containing nails and ball bearings.

The Holy Spirit Cathedral (Belarusian: Кафедральны сабор Сашэсця Святога Духа) in Minsk, Belarus is dedicated to the Holy Spirit. It is the central cathedral of the Belarusian Orthodox Church. The cathedral dates back to 1633–1642, when the Bernardine monastery was built, at a time when the city was in centre of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth.

The Belarusian State Academy of Music (Беларуская дзяржаўная акадэмія музыкі) is the primary music and higher education institution and research center of musicology, folklore, aesthetics, music pedagogy in Belarus, based in Minsk. Minsk had earlier had a conservatory, Minsk Conservatory. It was founded in 1932 and up to 1992 was known as the Belarusian State Conservatory.

The Central House of Officers (Belarusian: Цэнтральны Дом афiцэраў, Russian: Центральный Дом офицеров), also known as the Army Palace, is a former Red Army building which currently serves as the main cultural institution of the Belarusian Armed Forces. made in 1939. It was one of the only buildings made by Soviet architect Losif Langbard that survived the war.

Kupalawskaya (Belarusian: Купалаўская) is a Minsk Metro station. Opened on December 31, 1990.The station is one of three on the Minsk Metro to have been built with an entrance in an existing building, the other two being Kastrychnitskaya and Ploshcha Lyenina.
