Gosforth Central Park is a small public park in Gosforth north of the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, England.

Gosforth is an affluent, well established area of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, situated to the north of the city centre. Gosforth constituted an urban district from 1895 to 1974, when it became part of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne. It has a population of 23,620.There are three electoral wards that bear the Gosforth name: Dene and South Gosforth, Fawdon and West Gosforth, and Gosforth.

Ilford Road is a station on the Tyne and Wear Metro, serving the suburbs of Jesmond and South Gosforth in Newcastle upon Tyne. The station at Ilford Road was opened in August 1980.Ilford Road was the "typical Metro halt" used in publicity when the system first opened. When other stations were being repainted red, green or blue in the early 2000s, Ilford Road was repainted in original brown, with much of the unpainted concrete being painted cream.

The Holy Name is a parish of the Roman Catholic Church located in the Jesmond suburb in Newcastle upon Tyne.

All Saints’ Church, Gosforth is a Church of England (Anglican) parish church in the suburb of Gosforth, which lies to the north of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne. All Saints’ is part of the Diocese of Newcastle and within the Newcastle Central Deanery. It has served the community of Gosforth since being consecrated in 1887.

Newcastle School for Boys, or NSB, is an independent school for boys aged 3–18 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England. The School was formed in 2005 with the merger of two preparatory schools, Ascham House School and Newlands Preparatory School.The school has a roll of approximately 400 students and 75 staff and is located on three sites in the Gosforth area of the city.

Westfield School is an independent day school for girls aged 3 to 19 in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It is a Round Square school and a member of the Girls' Schools Association.

The Hoppings is an annual travelling funfair held on the Town Moor in Newcastle upon Tyne, during the last week in June. It is one of Europe's largest travelling funfairs. In recent years, over the course of the nine days it is held, it regularly attracts around 300,000 visitors. Its forerunner was The Blaydon Races, which was held in Blaydon.

The Town Moor is a large area of common land in Newcastle upon Tyne. It covers an area of around 1000 acres or 400ha, and is larger than Hyde Park and Hampstead Heath combined, and also larger than New York City's Central Park (843 acres). Like them it is not on the edge of the city, but has suburbs all around it.

West Jesmond is a station on the Tyne and Wear Metro, and one of three stations serving the suburb of Jesmond in Newcastle upon Tyne (the other two being Jesmond and Ilford Road). The Tyne and Wear Metro station at West Jesmond was opened in August 1980.West Jesmond is the busiest suburban station on the Tyne and Wear Metro network, with 966,467 annual passenger boardings in 1995–96, which has further increased to over 1 million in 2008–9.
