Discovery Green is wonderful for those who are looking for a city park with lots to see and do but still plenty of nature around! There’s a large loop all the way around the park on the wide sidewalk, and there’s numerous paths intertwined throughout the park as well. You’ll find great views of downtown here. There’s two restaurants located on the property, one is more casual and the other is high end. There’s always multiple art exhibits around the park, from painted murals to unique winter light displays. The nature and landscaping around the park is definitely worth appreciating! The long path lined with massive oak trees that create a canopy is truly gorgeous. There’s also a pond that is converted into an outdoor ice rink in the winter every year. Warning: this is not a park for those hoping to avoid children! The playground here is SO cool and very unique. Lots of happy kids here! All around this is a great park that I know I’ll continue to visit for many years to come.
