Best Walking Trails & Routes in Hoeven

Hoeven is a village in the municipality of Halderberge in the Netherlands. The name Hoeven originated from the purchase of a certain amount of ground in 1282 by the abbey of Cistercienser of St. Bernard. This amount was equal to 100 "hoeven", a local measure of area in those days. A hoeve is approximately 12 bunder. A "bunder" equals the area of the average agricultural farm in the Netherlands.

At the start of this route you come across various devices on the way to do exercises. You can use them for various trainings but also for warming ups. The paths are uneven, strewn with branches, acorns and pine cones and go up and down. It is therefore not an easy route. Nature is beautiful in this forest in every single season. The trees, shrubs and plants are very diverse. Although it is often very busy in the parking lot, you will not see many people on the winding forest paths. Because all paths wind through each other, you can actually continue to walk without having to return and walk back on the same road. Aan het begin van deze route kom je onderweg verschillende toestellen tegen om oefeningen te doen. Je kunt ze voor diverse trainingen maar ook voor warming ups gebruiken. De paden zijn ongelijk, liggen bezaaid met takken, eikels en dennenappels en gaan omhoog en omlaag. Het is dus geen gemakkelijke route. De natuur is ieder jaargetijde prachtig. De bomen, struiken en planten zijn erg divers. Hoewel het op de parkeerplaats vaak erg druk is, kom je op de slingerende bospaden weinig mensen tegen. Omdat alle paden door elkaar kronkelen kun je eigenlijk blijven lopen zonder dat je terug moet/hoeft om te keren.
