Best Walking Trails & Routes in Ramsey

Pretty steep in the beginning of the yellow trail. After 2 miles you get on the blue trail.

Darlington County Park 600 Darlington Avenue, Mahwah (201) 327-3500 Darlington County Park, with its 178 acres, contains three lakes on its pleasant and convenient location at the foothills of the Ramapo Mountains. Two of these lakes permit swimming, while the third allows fishing. Swimming is available from Memorial Day through Labor Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weather and conditions permitting. Ramapo Valley County Reservation is Bergen County's largest park area and is located on the edge of the Highlands Region. With the recent additions of Camp Glen Gray, Camp Tamarack and Camp Todd, the park has grown to over 4,000 acres. Visitors can hike the hills and valleys and enjoy the Ramapo River and several ponds. This hike is made up of rocky paths with slight inclines. Recommend hikers wear good sturdy hiking shoes. This is a peaceful hike which zigzags up Campgaw Mountain. The trail also cut through a frisbee golf course. There are restrooms at the beginning of the trail.
