Best Walking Trails & Routes in Des Plaines

Nice walk around path for walks, running, biking, roller blading, stroller walks, and/or by wheelchair. The route around is flat asphalt with plenty of benches and a water fountain. The route does cut off now where they are building an indoor pool addition to the park district. Inside building there are public restrooms, water fountain, and coffee vending machine. Nice residential walks right next to the park as well. There are 3 lakes with fountains, ducks, geese, and frogs. The main trail is around a soccer field and there baseball field. There’s also a miniature golfing here.

Scenic medium size lake park route good for walking, running, biking, skating, scooters, strollers, wheel chairs. Plenty of ducks, geese, seagulls, squirrels to see here. There is playground area for kids, picnic areas, fishing, pedal boating, kayak, and sail boating.
