Downtown Plano

Plano Station, Texas Electric Railway, now known as the Interurban Railway Museum, is a historic train station at 901 E 15th Street in Plano, Texas.The Mission Revival/Spanish Revival style station was completed in 1908 at the opening of the Texas Electric Railway. The railway operated from 1908 to 1948.

Plano ( PLAY-noh) is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, located approximately twenty miles (32.2 km) north of downtown Dallas. The city of Plano is a part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Plano lies mostly within Collin County, but includes a small portion that extends into Denton County.The city's population was estimated at 288,061 in 2016, making it the ninth most populous city in the state of Texas and the 69th most populous in the United States.

Downtown Plano station is a DART Light Rail station in Plano, Texas. It is located at the intersection of 15th Street and Avenue J and serves the Red Line and Orange Line. It opened on December 9, 2002.

The Carpenter House, 1211 East 16th Street, Plano, Collin County, Texas, is a Victorian home built in 1898 for Col. Henry C. Overaker and his new bride. Three years in completion, the house was set in the middle of a former cotton field which was part of the colonel's many land holdings. Gibson Edgar Carpenter, a gentleman farmer, lawyer, and judge, purchased the house in the early 1920s to ensure his children would receive the best education in the Plano school system.
