The Ernst Happel Stadion (Ernst-Happel-Stadion ) (Praterstadion until 1992, sometimes also called Wiener Stadion) is a football stadium in Leopoldstadt, the 2nd district of Austria's capital Vienna. With 50,865 seats, it is the largest stadium in Austria. It was built between 1929 and 1931 for the second Workers' Olympiad to the design of German architect Otto Ernst Schweizer.

Leopoldstadt (German pronunciation: [ˈleːopɔltˌʃtat] (listen); Austro-Bavarian: Leopoidstod, "Leopold-Town") is the 2nd municipal District of Vienna (German: 2. Bezirk). There are 103,233 inhabitants (as of 2016-01-01) over 19.27 km2 (7 sq mi). It is situated in the heart of the city and, together with Brigittenau (20th district), forms a large island surrounded by the Danube Canal and, to the north, the Danube.

The Prater Liliputbahn is a 381 mm (15 in) gauge light railway in Vienna, Austria. Opened in 1928, and extended in 1933, the railway operates primarily as a tourist attraction, but also provides transport links around the wider area of the Prater park, the amusement park (Wurstelprater), and the sports stadium.

Vienna Cricket and Football-Club is a sport club based on Döbling district, Vienna. Established on 23 August 1894, it is the second oldest team after their rivals First Vienna FC 1894. It is familiarly known to Austrians by the English name Cricketer. In the early 20th century the club was popular for Cricket and Football, but now athletics and tennis.

The Rotunde (German: [roˈtʊndə]) in Vienna was a building erected for the Weltausstellung 1873 Wien (the Vienna World Fair of 1873).The building was a partially covered circular steel construction, 84 m (approx. 275 ft) in height and 108 m (approx. 354 ft) in diameter. For almost one century (followed after its own destruction by an exhibition hall in Belgrade, 1957) it was the largest cupola construction in the world, larger than the Pantheon in Rome (diameter 43,4 m); built in 118–125.

The Vienna Institute of Demography (VID) (until 2002: Institut für Demographie/IfD) is a research institute of the division for humanities and social sciences within the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) and part of the three "pillar institutions" of the Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital.

The Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital (IIASA, VID/ÖAW, WU) is a research collaboration between the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis in Laxenburg, the Vienna Institute of Demography of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and the Vienna University of Economics and Business, both located in Vienna.

Trabrennbahn Krieau (Krieau Race Track) is a horse racing track in Leopoldstadt district, Vienna. It was opened in 1878. The old grandstand and a tower for officials were finished in 1913. Krieau Race Track is the second oldest harness racing track in Europe after the 1834 built Central Moscow Hippodrome.

The Vienna University of Economics and Business (German: Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien or WU) is a Triple accredited (AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA) and the largest university focusing on business and economics in Europe and, in terms of student body, one of the largest universities in Austria. It has been ranked as one of the best business schools in Europe.
