The Birth house of Anton Chekhov is the place in Taganrog, Russia, where the famous writer Anton Chekhov was born. It is now a writer's house museum. The outbuilding on the territory of a property on Chekhov Street (formerly Kupecheskaya Street, later Alexandrovskaya Street, and renamed in honor of Chekhov in 1904, soon after his death) in Taganrog was built in 1859 of wattle and daub, plastered and whitened.

In the first half of the 19th century, Taganrog was one of the largest ports in Russia. Hundreds of ships from European ports came into the haven. Merchants and seafarers from Liverpool, Bristol, Lisbon, Marseille, Genoa, Livorno and other seaports worldwide knew the name of the city of Taganrog.

The Depaldo Stone Steps (Russian: Депальдовская лестница, also Старая каменная лестница) was constructed in 1823 by the project of the Italian architect Francesco Boffo with the money of Taganrog's Greek merchant Gerasim Depaldo at the crossroads of Greek Street (near Tchaikovsky House in Taganrog) and Depaldo Street (now Turgenevskaya Street) in Taganrog.

The Siege of Taganrog is a name given in some Russian histories to Anglo-French naval operations in the northeastern part of the Sea of Azov between June and October 1855 during the Crimean War. British and French forces were implementing a strategy of destroying the supply lines for the main Russian army which ran across the Sea of Azov.

Peter barracks (Russian: Петровские казармы) — a historical monument in Taganrog, Russia, that was built at the end of the 18th century. Is a part of «combined arms cell» of Taganrog Fortress. It is also a valuable object of cultural heritage of federal importance.

The Tchaikovsky House in Taganrog is a historical mansion in the historical downtown Taganrog on Ulitsa Grecheskaya, 56. The mansion was built in early 1870s by the project of the architect Petrov. It was owned by the merchant Sarandino until mid-1890s. From 1883 until 1894, the building was rented by the captain of the first rank Ippolit Tchaikovsky who served in Taganrog representing the Russian Society of navigation and trade.

The Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker Church is a Russian Orthodox Church in the city of Taganrog in Rostov Oblast, Russia.

The Sundial (Russian: Солнечные часы) in Taganrog was set in 1833. It is situated in Grecheskaya Street, close to the Depaldo Stairs. It is officially declared an object of cultural heritage of Russia of Regional significance.
