Hike Rancho San Antonio starting from Montclair School

There’s no parking at this entrance, and limited parking at the other, so on the weekends park at the school, and walk about 3/4 miles to the entrance. The path is wide and pretty level, although the part after the farm (where the goats are) has a climb up to the seasonal lake. There are two paths out to the lake - the one on the left is flatter, but the one on the right has fewer people. The route is reasonably shady except mid-day. There are even shady parts then. On the route back, you can either retrace your steps, or take my “Rancho San Antonio return from trail split” (Pacer and I glitched, so I didn’t get the whole route in one. 😃 )
