Pelekanos (Greek: Δήμος Πελεκάνου) is a former municipality in the Chania regional unit, Crete, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kantanos-Selino, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 166.618 km2 (64.332 sq mi). Pelekanos is in the south west corner of the island, part of the rugged and remote Selino Province.

Kantanos-Selino (Greek: Κάντανος-Σέλινο) is a municipality in Chania regional unit, Crete, Greece. It is numbered 4 on the map of the Chania region. The seat of the municipality is the village of Palaiochora. The municipality has an area of 376.254 km2 (145.272 sq mi).
