Ashoka (branded Ashoka: Innovators of the Public) is an international organization that promotes social entrepreneurship by affiliating individual social entrepreneurs into the Ashoka organization. Their stated mission is "to shape a global, entrepreneurial, competitive citizen sector: one that allows social entrepreneurs to thrive and enables the world's citizens to think and act as changemakers".

1812 North Moore is an office building in Arlington, Virginia, developed by Monday Properties. It was topped out in March 2013, surpassing the nearby Rosslyn Twin Towers as the tallest building in the Washington metropolitan area.The building was completed in late 2013. In January 2017 it was announced that Nestle USA will move its headquarters into the building, which had remained vacant until that time.

The buildings hold approximately 1,055 apartments. The brick Colonial Revival-style buildings are situated around courtyards with clusters of five and seven buildings to larger groupings of up to thirteen.

Rosslyn is the first station in Virginia heading westward from the District on the Orange and Silver Lines and southward on the Blue Lines.

The Art Institute of Washington was a for-profit college in Arlington, Virginia. It opened in 2000 and was a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta. It was accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The school closed permanently in the summer of 2018.

The Lexington Institute is a public-policy think tank headquartered in Arlington, Virginia that focuses mainly on security-related issues, including defense spending, military technology, economic competitiveness, energy policy and logistics. It is organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, which means it is a tax-exempt, non-profit foundation that does not engage in lobbying.
