Erith ( (listen)) is an area of south-east London, England, located 13.3 miles (21.4 km) east of Charing Cross. Historically part of Kent, it has formed part of the London Borough of Bexley since 1965. Erith is located to the north-east of Bexleyheath and north-west of Dartford, and lies on the south bank of the River Thames.

Bexleyheath and Crayford is a borough constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.It was created in 1997 from parts of the former seats of Bexleyheath and Erith & Crayford.

Barnehurst railway station serves Barnehurst, Northumberland Heath and northern parts of Bexleyheath in the London Borough of Bexley; it is 13 miles 71 chains (22.3 km) from London Charing Cross on the Bexleyheath line. The station stands in a cutting: the small brick-built ticket office (in a similar design to others on the line) is above the up platform.

Northumberland Heath is a neighbourhood and electoral ward in the London Borough of Bexley, south east London, England. Northumberland Heath is often referred to locally as "North' Heath" and is often considered to be part of upper Erith.

Erith was a local government district in north west Kent from 1876 to 1965 around the town of Erith. It also included the generally suburban areas of Northumberland Heath, Belvedere, and parts of Barnehurst, Bexleyheath, Crayford and the SE2 London Postal District of Abbey Wood.The district was formed when the Local Government Act 1858 was adopted by the parish of Erith, and a Local Board was formed to govern the town.

King Henry School (formerly Erith Grammar School and later Erith School) is a large mixed bilateral secondary school and sixth form in Erith in the London Borough of Bexley for students aged 11 to 18. In October 2010, it became an Academy, and from September 2018 it merged with Townley Grammar School in Bexleyheath, forming the Odyssey Trust for Eduction, a multi-academy trust, and adopting its current name.

Erith Town Football Club is a football club based in Erith in the London Borough of Bexley, England. They are currently members of the Southern Counties East League Premier Division and play at the Erith Sports Stadium.

North End is a name for a neighbourhood in the London Borough of Bexley and the term is of fading use. It was originally a hamlet or farmstead towards the north of the parish of Crayford, a parish founded by the early middle ages and which continues in the Church of England.North End has largely been absorbed by the sprawl of neighbouring communities.
