The Roman Catholic Diocese of Corner Brook and Labrador (Latin: Dioecesis Rivianangulanensis–Labradorensis) (erected 9 May 1870, as the Prefecture Apostolic of Western Newfoundland) is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of St. John's, Newfoundland. It was re-erected as an apostolic vicariate on 28 April 1892 and as the Diocese of Saint George's on 18 February 1904.

CKVB-FM, branded as Bay of Islands Radio, is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts a community radio format at 100.1 FM in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador.Since 2011, Bay of Islands Radio has maintained a full-time internet stream, broadcasting programs from a wide variety of topics and music genres produced by its volunteers.

The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist is the Anglican cathedral of the Diocese of Western Newfoundland: it is in the town of Corner Brook.
