It is located geographically in Dongjiaotou, Shekou, which lies on the southwestern corner of the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province.

Hongshuwan station (simplified Chinese: 红树湾站; traditional Chinese: 紅樹灣站; pinyin: Hóngshùwān Zhàn; Jyutping: Hung4 Syu6 Waan1 Zaam6; literally: 'Mangrove Bay station') is a metro station on Line 2 of the Shenzhen Metro. It was opened on 28 December 2010.

Dasha River (Chinese: 大沙河; pinyin: Dàshāhé) is a river in southwestern Shenzhen in Guangdong, China. It is 18.8 kilometres (11.7 mi) long and drains an area of 90.69 square kilometres (35.02 sq mi). It rises in Mount Yangtai, and flows generally southwest, passing through the Nanshan District and emptying into the South China Sea in Shenzhen Bay.
