Sands Point

Beacon Towers was a Gilded Age mansion on Sands Point in the village of Sands Point on the North Shore of Long Island, New York. It was built from 1917 to 1918 for Alva Belmont, the ex-wife of William Kissam Vanderbilt and the widow, since 1908, of Oliver Belmont.

Hempstead House, also known as the Gould-Guggenheim Estate or Sands Point Preserve, is a large estate that was started by Howard Gould and completed by Daniel Guggenheim in 1912. It is located in Sands Point, New York

Sands Family Cemetery is a historic cemetery located at Sands Point in Nassau County, New York. It was established about 1704 and includes burials through 1867. It includes 12 rows of 86 extant headstones. Records indicate the cemetery contains 112 members of the family, relatives, and friends. It includes a number of notable examples of funerary art.
