The Ballymurphy Massacre was a series of incidents between 9 and 11 August 1971, in which the 1st Battalion, Parachute Regiment of the British Army killed eleven civilians in Ballymurphy, Belfast, Northern Ireland, as part of Operation Demetrius. The shootings were later referred to as Belfast's Bloody Sunday, a reference to the killing of civilians by the same battalion in Derry a few months later.

Casement Park (Irish: Páirc Mhic Asmaint) is the principal GAA stadium in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and serves as the home ground of the Antrim football and hurling teams. It is located in Andersonstown Road in the west of the city, and named after the republican revolutionary Sir Roger Casement (1864-1916).

British Army corporals Derek Wood and David Howes were killed by the Provisional IRA on 19 March 1988 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in what became known as the corporals killings. The undercover soldiers—wearing civilian clothes, both armed with Browning Hi power pistols and in a civilian car—drove into the funeral procession of an IRA member.

Kennedy Centre is a retail and leisure development in a largely built-up residential area in west Belfast. Having agreed upon a new anchor tenant, the Kennedy Centre was redeveloped again in 2009. At approximately 97,000 sq ft (9,000 m2), its anchor tenant is Sainsburys supermarket, the largest supermarket in Northern Ireland, which replaced the previous anchor, Curleys Supermarket.

The Milltown Cemetery attack (also known as the Milltown Cemetery killings or Milltown Massacre) took place on 16 March 1988 at Milltown Cemetery in Belfast, Northern Ireland. During the large funeral of three Provisional IRA members killed in Gibraltar, an Ulster Defence Association (UDA) member, Michael Stone, attacked the mourners with hand grenades and pistols.

De La Salle College is a boys' secondary Catholic maintained school in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is a Lasallian educational institution affiliated with the De La Salle Brothers, a Roman Catholic religious teaching order founded by French Priest Saint Jean-Baptiste de La Salle.As of 2017/2018 the school's enrolment was around 958.
