This route starts on the highline canal where it crosses under Iliff Ave. Heading south, on your right is a golf course. On the left is the canal and just beyond that, apartment and condo complexes. You can often spot birds of prey, coyotes, deer, or bull snakes. When the highline crosses the Cherry Creek, turn left to join the CC trail. There is a paved path, and just below, along the creek, is a dirt trail. Lots of bikers and dog walkers along here. This route ends at the bridge that takes you to a small parking area where the street dead ends.
