Schloss Charlottenburg

Charlottenburg Palace (German: Schloss Charlottenburg) is a Baroque palace in Berlin, located in Charlottenburg, a district of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf borough.The palace was built at the end of the 17th century and was greatly expanded during the 18th century. It includes much lavish internal decoration in baroque and rococo styles.

Charlottenburg (German: [ʃaʁˈlɔtn̩bʊʁk] (listen)) is an affluent locality of Berlin within the borough of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. Established as a town in 1705 and named after late Sophia Charlotte of Hanover, Queen consort of Prussia, it is best known for Charlottenburg Palace, the largest surviving royal palace in Berlin, and the adjacent museums.

The Berggruen Museum (also known as the Berggruen Collection) is a collection of modern art classics in Berlin, which the collector and dealer Heinz Berggruen, in a "gesture of reconciliation", gave to his native city. The most notable artists on display include Pablo Picasso, Giambattista Pittoni, Alberto Giacometti, Georges Braque, Paul Klee and Henri Matisse.

The Bröhan Museum is a museum of art and design in Berlin. It is devoted to decorative arts of the modern period: Art Nouveau, Art Deco and functionalism, although the Museum's primary focus and most notable collections are of art nouveau works called jugendstil in German. The Museum occupies a late-classicist former barracks in Charlottenburg, opposite Charlottenburg Palace.

Bismarckstraße is a Berlin U-Bahn station located in the Charlottenburg district on the U 2 and U 7 lines. It was opened in 1978 on the eponymous street, a major arterial road named after Otto von Bismarck.

The Rathgen Research Laboratory (German: Rathgen-Forschungslabor) is a Research Institute of the Berlin State Museums under the auspices of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation. It carries out cross-material conservation science, art technology and archaeometry studies of fine arts and cultural artifacts to determine composition, age and authenticity and provide advice on their restoration.
