Strathclyde Loch

Hamilton Mausoleum is a mausoleum located in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Scotland. It was the resting place of the family of the Dukes of Hamilton. Built in the grounds of the now-demolished Hamilton Palace, its high stone used to hold the record for the longest echo within any man-made structure in the world, taking 15 seconds for the sound of a slammed door to fade.

Hamilton Palace was a large country house located north-east of Hamilton in Lanarkshire, Scotland. The former seat of the Dukes of Hamilton, it was built in 1695 and subsequently much enlarged. Widely acknowledged as having been one of the grandest houses in Britain, the palace was demolished in 1927, due to the prohibitive cost of upkeep and the subsidence caused by the nearby mine at Bothwellhaugh.

Avon Water, also known locally as the River Avon, is a 24-mile-long (39 km) river in Scotland, and a tributary of the River Clyde.

Hamilton services is a motorway service station near the town of Hamilton, Scotland. The service station is located next to the M74 motorway between junctions 6 and 5 and may be accessed in the northbound direction only. It is owned by Roadchef.

Clyde Bridge, not to be confused with the similarly named Clyde's Bridge further upstream, is a road bridge built in 1831 spanning the River Clyde in Motherwell, Scotland. The bridge carries the A723 from Motherwell to Hamilton and the Hamilton Interchange junction of the M74 motorway. In 2011, South Lanarkshire Council undertook a £38,000 renovation of the steel girder bridge to strengthen the underwater supports, following Government advice after several bridges were washed away in flooding.
