Why do not you take a walk through the center of Sendai?
A big road called Aoba-dori passes through the west exit of Sendai Station. In the center is Jozenji Street, famous for its jazz festival and light pageant, Hirose Street, which passes through the highway Miyagi Interchange and heads east, and Aoba Street. Aoba-dori and Jozenji-dori are lined with zelkova trees, so the sun is moderately blocked and it is easy to take a walk on hot summer days.
