The City and Borough of Juneau ( JOO-noh; Tlingit: Dzánti K'ihéeni [ˈtsántʰì kʼìˈhíːnì]; Russian: Джуно), commonly known as Juneau, is the capital city of Alaska. Located in the Gastineau Channel and the Alaskan panhandle, it is a unified municipality and the second largest city in the United States by area.

The Alaska Governor's Mansion, located at 716 Calhoun Avenue in Juneau, Alaska, is the official residence of the Governor of Alaska, the First Lady or Gentleman of Alaska, and their families. It was designed by James Knox Taylor. The Governor's Mansion was first occupied in 1912 by Territorial Governor Walter Eli Clark.

Starr Hill is a populated place in Juneau, Alaska, United States. It is named for Frank Starr (1849-1898), a soldier from Maine who arrived shortly after the discovery of the Juneau gold fields in 1880, staked some claims but mainly found work in construction. Starr also staked land on the hill near the road leading to the Silver Bow Basin gold fields.

Evergreen Cemetery is a cemetery in Juneau, the capital of the U.S. state of Alaska. It was established in 1887 to replace the older cemetery on Chicken Ridge, near Main Street, when that location was staked as a gold mine. Most of the graves in this older cemetery were moved to the new cemetery between 1889 and 1892 and the rest were moved about 1915.

The Fries Miners' Cabins are a group of six small houses located on the 500 block of Kennedy Street, in the Starr Hill neighborhood adjacent to downtown Juneau, Alaska. The six were built as essentially identical structures in 1913 to house miners working in the local gold mines. The houses are 1-1/2 story structures of wood frame construction, and are in the Craftsman style popular at the time.

The Hurff Ackerman Saunders Federal Building and Robert Boochever U.S. Courthouse (Known to locals simply as "the Federal Building") is a United States Federal Building, United States Post Office and Federal court, located in Juneau, Alaska. Built in 1964 and completed in 1966, the structure is located at 709 W.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Juneau (Latin: Dioecesis Junellensis) is an ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in the northwestern United States, comprising the southeastern part of the state of Alaska. It is led by a prelate bishop which serves as pastor of the mother church, Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the City of Juneau.

The Chicken Ridge Historic District is a residential historic district in Juneau, Alaska. It is located in an area long known as Chicken Ridge (probably for the ptarmigan and grouse found there in abundance), and has since the early 20th century been one of Juneau's finest neighborhoods. It includes properties along Seventh Street, Basin Road above Seventh, Goldbelt Avenue, Dixon Street, and Main Street above Sixth.

The Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Juneau. The cathedral is located at 416 Fifth Street in Juneau, Alaska. The cathedral may be the smallest in North America. A church was built in 1886 on the same block on Fifth Street where the cathedral currently sits.

The House of Wickersham, also known as the Wickersham State Historic Site, is a historic house at 213 7th Street in the Chicken Ridge area of Juneau, Alaska. It is a historic house museum operated by the state of Alaska, memorializing the life of James Wickersham (1857-1939), an influential political leader in Alaska in the early 20th century.
