Park Mont-Royal

The Sir George-Étienne Cartier Monument is a monument in Montreal, Quebec, in the Mount Royal Park to George-Étienne Cartier by sculptor George William Hill (1862–1934).The monument, which is topped by a winged Goddess of Liberty, was inaugurated on September 6, 1919 in the heart of Fletcher's Field west side.

James McGill (October 6, 1744 – December 19, 1813) was a Scottish businessman and philanthropist best known for being the founder of McGill University, Montreal. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada for Montreal West in 1792 and was appointed to the Executive Council of Lower Canada in 1793.

1000 Sherbrooke West (formerly known as Centre Mont-Royal and Place Internationale de l'Aviation) is a 28-storey, 128 m (420 ft) skyscraper at 1000 Sherbrooke Street West next to Tour Scotia and opposite McTavish Street in downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The tower was designed by Rosen Caruso Vecsei Architects in the Brutalist architectural style, with a concrete and glass facade.

Milton Park (French: Milton-Parc), commonly known as the McGill Ghetto, is a neighbourhood in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is situated directly to the east of the McGill University campus in the borough of Plateau-Mont-Royal. It is named after the neighbourhood's two main streets, Milton Street and Park Avenue.

The McGill University Institute of Islamic Studies and the Islamic Studies Library were established in 1952 by Wilfred Cantwell Smith, and since 1983 both have been housed in Morrice Hall on McGill's campus in downtown Montreal, Quebec.
