Milano Centrale (Italian: Stazione Milano Centrale) is the main railway station of the city of Milan, Italy and is the largest railway station in Europe by volume. The station is a terminus and located at the northern end of central Milan. It was officially inaugurated in 1931 to replace the old central station (built 1864), which was a transit station but with a limited number of tracks and space, so could not handle the increased traffic caused by the opening of the Simplon tunnel in 1906.

On April 18, 2002 at 17:48 (local time), a Rockwell Commander 112 crashed into the upper floors of the Pirelli Tower in Milan, Italy, for reasons still unclear. The crash killed the pilot and two others in the building. Sixty more people sustained injuries in the building and on the ground.The crash raised fears of a terrorist attack because of the similarities with the September 11 attacks, which had occurred only a few months earlier.

Centrale FS is a station on Line 2 and on Line 3 of the Milan Metro in Milan, Italy. The station was inaugurated in 1970, and it became an interchange with Line 3 in 1990.The station was the terminus of Line 2 until 1971, when the trains reached Porta Garibaldi, and of Line 3 until 1991, when Sondrio was opened.

Torre Breda (English: Breda Tower) is a 30-storey, 117 m (384 ft) skyscraper in Milan, Italy. The tower was built in 1954 on a design by architect Luigi Mattioni. The eight floors of the lower body are devoted exclusively to offices, while the rest of the building houses residential apartments. The building is currently under restyling.

Pirelli Tower (Italian: Grattacielo Pirelli – also called "Pirellone", literally "Big Pirelli"), is a 32-storey, 127 m (417 ft) skyscraper in Milan, Italy. The base of the building is 1,900 m2 (20,000 sq ft), with a length of 75.5 m (248 ft) and a width of 20.5 m (67 ft). The construction used approximately 30,000 m3 (1,100,000 cu ft) of concrete.
