Da Velon si sale fino al forte pozzi alti in macchina. La strada è stretta ma il fondo è stato sistemato e quindi si può salire tranquillamente. Arrivati al forte si inizia a salire lungo il sentiero ben segnato La passeggiata fino al rifugio e poi al lago è semplice e veloce vale la pena andarci per i paesaggi veramente eccezionali. Volendo è anche punto di partenza per escursioni più impegnative
