Olympic Sailing Center

May Fourth Square (Chinese: 五四广场; pinyin: wǔsì guǎngchǎng) is a large public square in Qingdao's central business district. It is located between the new municipal government building and Fushan Bay and is composed of Shizhengting Square, the central square and the coastal park. Named after the nationwide protest May Fourth Movement that started in Qingdao, the square is best recognized by the large "May Wind" (五月的风) sculpture near the seaside.

Sailing/Yachting is an Olympic sport starting from the Games of the 1st Olympiad (1896 Olympics in Athens, Greece). With the exception of 1904 and possibly the cancelled 1916 Summer Olympics, sailing has always been included on the Olympic schedule.The Sailing program of 2008 consisted of a total of nine sailing classes (eleven disciplines).

The Qingdao International Sailing Centre (simplified Chinese: 青岛奥林匹克帆船中心; traditional Chinese: 青島奧林匹克帆船中心; pinyin: Qīngdǎo Àolínpǐkè Fānchuán Zhōngxīn) is a sailing marina located on the former site of the Beihai Shipyard by Qingdao's Fushan Bay at Shandong Province in China. It was constructed for the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Bank of China Mansion (simplified Chinese: 青岛中银大厦; traditional Chinese: 青島中銀大廈; pinyin: Qīngdǎo Zhōngyín Dàshà) is a 54-floor 241 meter (791 foot) tall skyscraper completed in 1999 located in Qingdao, China.

Shinan (Chinese: 市南; pinyin: shìnán "South City") is an urban district of Qingdao, Shandong. It has an area of 30.01 square kilometres (7,420 acres; 11.59 sq mi) and had approximately 527,000 inhabitants as of 2007. Shinan is located in coastal hilled terrain, and has a temperate monsoon climate. Common features include moderate temperatures, moist air, abundant rainfall, and four distinct seasons.
