Langley Park, Perth

Langley Park is an open space in the central business district of Perth, Western Australia. Running alongside Riverside Drive, it is grassed, rectangular in shape and has dimensions 900 x 100 m (3000 x 300 ft). It was created by reclaiming land from the adjacent Swan River between 1921 and 1935, to provide open space near the city.

Situated between Ron Courtney Island upstream and Heirisson Island downstream, Kuljak Island is east of Maylands Peninsula and south of Garratt Road Bridge. Kuljak Island is surrounded by a number of smaller, also artificial, islets, and is entirely within the boundaries of the suburb of Ascot.

It is described as an English cottage-style farmhouse with loft bedrooms and wide verandahs and is associated with a group of devout Wesleyan Methodists, led by Joseph Hardey and other members of his family who arrived in Western Australia on the ship Tranby in February 1830.

The Swan Bells are a set of 18 bells hanging in a specially built 82.5-metre (271 ft)-high copper and glass campanile in Perth, Western Australia. The tower is commonly known as The Bell Tower or the Swan Bell Tower.Taking their name from the Swan River, which their tower overlooks, and forming a sixteen-bell peal with two extra chromatic notes, they are the second largest set of change ringing bells in the world, the largest being Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, which has nineteen bells.

Ascot Water Playground

The Ascot Water Playground is a former recreation facility in Ascot, Western Australia. Built in 1975 under the Labor government's Red Scheme for the long-term unemployed, it was officially opened in November 1977 at a cost of $326,156. The complex had pools, water slides, and mini-golf. The park closed in 2002 because of new occupational health and safety laws, as well as river run-off laws.
