Castle Shannon community

Castle Shannon is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States, and is part of the Pittsburgh Metro Area. The population was 8,316 at the 2010 census.

Linden Grove was once a nationally designated historic place located at 1100 Grove Road in Castle Shannon, Pennsylvania, but the original building (circa 1872) was torn down and it was delisted on January 20, 2000. The current building there is a more recent construction called "The Linden Grove Nightclub".

Castle Shannon is a station on the Red Line of the Port Authority of Allegheny County's light rail network. It is located in Castle Shannon, Pennsylvania. Located away from the suburb's main commercial and residential districts, the station is designed primarily as a commuter stop, with 500 spaces available for park and ride users.

Martin Villa was a station on the Port Authority of Allegheny County's light rail network, located in Castle Shannon, Pennsylvania. The street level stop was incorporated into the system to serve an apartment complex of the same name. On the opposite side of the street, a variety of residences were within walking distance.

Linden Grove was a former stop on the Overbrook line, named for a nearby restaurant and tavern originally established by Pittsburgh Railways Company's predecessor, the Pittsburgh and Castle Shannon Railroad to increase their passenger revenues. The stop was closed when the Overbrook line shut down in 1993, and was consolidated with the nearby Memorial Hall stop when the line was rebuilt in 2004.

Memorial Hall is a station on the Overbrook branch of the Port Authority of Allegheny County's light rail network. It is located in Castle Shannon, Pennsylvania. The station serves primarily as a park and ride center, with 340 spaces available for commuters. A variety of residents also walk directly to the station.

Overbrook Junction is a station on the Beechview branch of the Port Authority of Allegheny County's light rail network which serves Castle Shannon, Pennsylvania.

Willow is a station on the Overbrook branch of the Port Authority of Allegheny County's light rail network. It is located in Castle Shannon, Pennsylvania. It is a transfer point between the Beechview (serving Castle Shannon, Mt. Lebanon, Dormont, and Beechview) and Overbrook (serving Overbrook, Carrick, Bon Air, and Belzhoover) lines.
