Bad Säckingen is a rural town in the administrative district of Waldshut in the state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It is famous as the "Trumpeteer's City" because of the book Der Trompeter von Säckingen ("The Trumpeter of Säckingen"), a famous 19th-century novel by German author Joseph Victor von Scheffel.

Holzbrücke Bad Säckingen (German name) or Säckingerbrücke (Swiss name) is a bridge over the Rhine. It connects the German city of Bad Säckingen with the village Stein in Switzerland. The covered bridge spans 203.7 metres (668 ft) over the Hochrhein and is the longest roofed wooden bridge of Europe. The bridge is listed as a national registered monument in Switzerland (Kulturgut von nationaler Bedeutung im Kanton Aargau).

Sisseln is a municipality in the district of Laufenburg in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland.

The Sissle (Swiss German, German: Sisslen) is a 16-kilometre (10 mi) long river in the Swiss canton of Aargau in Switzerland. It is a tributary of the Rhine and drains the eastern part of the Fricktal. The largest town on the river is Frick.The river rises in the municipalities of Schinznach-Dorf and Thalheim at an elevation of 650 metres (2,130 ft) above sea level on the southern slope of Mount Dreierberg and the northern slope of Mount Zeiher Homberg, in the Jura Mountains.

Bad Säckingen (German: Bahnhof Bad Säckingen) is a railway station in the town of Bad Säckingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The station lies on the High Rhine Railway and the train services are operated by Deutsche Bahn. The station was also located on the Wehra Valley Railway which was closed on 31 December 1994.

Stein is a municipality in the district of Rheinfelden in the canton of Aargau, Switzerland.The town lies across the Rhine River from Bad Säckingen in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Two bridges link the two city, one vehicular (Fridolinsbrücke) and the other, the Holzbrücke pedestrian bridge.

Säckingen Abbey is a former Roman Catholic abbey located in Bad Säckingen, Baden-Württemberg in Germany. The Abbey was founded in the 6th or 7th century by Fridolin of Säckingen, an Irish monk. While the Abbey had both monks and nuns, only the nuns' convent grew to be an important religious, economic and cultural institution for the entire upper Rhine.
