Châtillon (French pronunciation: ​[ʃɑ.ti.jɔ̃]) is a commune in the southwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 7 km (4.3 mi) from the center of Paris.The town was formerly named Châtillon-sous-Bagneux, and a relic of this denomination remains in at least one road sign in Vanves (located at the junction Boulevard du Lycée and Avenue Charles de Gaulle, and written as Châtillon s/ B).

The Battle of Châtillon was the third sortie by French forces attempting to relieve the siege of Paris by the Prussian-led German armies. The French Army forced the Bavarians from the western outskirts of Paris but were later driven back in the face of Prussian artillery.

Châtillon – Montrouge is a surface station of the Paris Métro that serves as the southern terminus of Line 13 in the communes of Châtillon and Montrouge. The station opened on 9 November 1976 as part of the extension of line 13 from Porte de Vanves.Reversal at the station have been carried out using automatic train operation since June 2008.

Vanves–Malakoff is a railway station located in Vanves, Hauts-de-Seine, Paris, France. The station was opened in 1883 and is located on the Paris–Brest railway. The train services are operated by SNCF.Just north of the station is the start of the LGV Atlantique high speed line to the west and south-west of France, used by TGV trains.

The canton of Bagneux is a French administrative division, located in the arrondissement of Antony, in the Hauts-de-Seine département (Île-de-France région). Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Bagneux.

Malakoff - Rue Étienne Dolet is a surface station on line Line 13 of the Paris Métro in the commune of Malakoff.The station opened on 9 November 1976 as part of the extension of line 13 from Porte de Vanves and Châtillon - Montrouge. It is named after Malakoff and the street of Rue Étienne Dolet, named after Etienne Dolet (1509–1546).
