Jing'an Temple (simplified Chinese: 静安寺; traditional Chinese: 靜安寺; pinyin: Jìng'ān Sì; Shanghainese: Zin'ue Zy; literally: 'Temple of Peace and Tranquility') is a Buddhist temple on the West Nanjing Road in Shanghai. Jing'an District, where it is located, is named after the temple.

The 2010 Shanghai fire was a fire on 15 November 2010 that destroyed a 28-story high-rise apartment building in the city of Shanghai, China, killing at least 58 people and injuring more than 70 others (with at least one source reporting more than 120 others injured).An investigation under the PRC State Council was announced on 16 November, the day after the fire, to determine the cause of the blaze.

Jing'an Park (Chinese: 静安公园; pinyin: Jīng'ān Gōngyuán) is a park located at the Western section of Nanjing Road, just opposite the Jing'an Temple in Shanghai, China. It occupies the site of the former Bubbling Well Road Cemetery.

Changping Road (Chinese: 昌平路; pinyin: Chāngpíng Lù) is the name of a station on Line 7 of the Shanghai Metro. It is situated within the inner ring-road in Jing'an District. It entered operation in December 2009, together with the other stations on the line. The station has a side platform layout.

Line 14Jing'an Temple (simplified Chinese: 静安寺; traditional Chinese: 靜安寺; pinyin: Jìng'ān Sì) is the name of an interchange station between Lines 2 and 7 of the Shanghai Metro. This station is located in Jing'an District, below the historic Jing'an Temple and the Jiu Guang shopping mall. It is part of the initial section of Line 2 that opened from Zhongshan Park to Longyang Road that opened on 20 September 1999; the interchange with line 7 opened on 5 December 2009 as part of that line's initial section between Shanghai University and Huamu Road.

Shanghai Dong Hai Plaza (Chinese: 东海广场) is a skyscraper in Shanghai, China. It is 217 metres (712 ft) tall and has 52 floors. The tower was completed in 2004 after a long period on hold, construction having started in 1994.

Shanghai Wheelock Square is a skyscraper located in Puxi, Shanghai, China. It is the 91st-tallest building in the world.The Wheelock Square building has 58 floors, and just over 100,000 m2 (1,100,000 sq ft) of prime office space. It is located across the street from the Jing'an Temple Station on Shanghai Metro Lines 2 and 7.

Shanghai Centre (Chinese: 上海商城; pinyin: Shànghǎi Shāngchéng) is located on West Nanjing Road, Jing'an District, Shanghai. It is a comprehensive building complex consisting of three towers rising from an eight-storey base. Designed by John C. Portman, Jr., the Shanghai Centre was one of the very first contemporary skyscrapers to be built in Shanghai.
